Take a Stand

If you are a supporter of equal rights, which includes EVERYONE'S right to marry the person they love no matter race, creed, or sexuality, then please, please PLEASE visit this site to sign their petition!

Here is what it says on their page about standing up for Starbucks:

Starbucks stuck their neck out to publicly support the right of all people to marry, regardless of the gender of their partner.
Now it is under attack by the ironically-named, ultra-conservative "National Organization for Marriage". Already over 10,000 NOM members have pledged to boycott Starbucks. We don't want to just criticize corporations when they do bad. We want to encourage them when they do good. So we're going to blow the opposition out of the water by getting more than ten times as many people to thank Starbucks for standing up for gay marriage.

SOPA & PIPA

Undoubtedly, you've heard about how Congress is attempting to sensor the internet, and prevent new sites from being developed, etc. It could limit or eliminate your access to sites that you likely use on a daily basis such a Google, Craigslist, YouTube, Wikipedia, and many, many more... not to mention sites that have yet to be developed that might be helpful to you. I don't know about you, but I am currently looking for work, so I am on Craigslist everyday looking for employment. If that site is taken away, one more tool in my search for a job, will be taken away.

If you don't think that's fair, please write your Congressman or woman and express that point. There are other tools available to you should you decide to take a stand against this. Check out various online petitions, etc. Sign away! Post to Facebook, Twitter, your blogs, etc. Your internet networking is a HUGE, powerful tool. Use it!
