The Cripple of The Irishmaan

My friend Jack invited me to join him today at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre for the last performance of 'The Cripple of The Irishmaan.' I had read the synopsis beforehand, but was still not exactly sure what to expect.

I really enjoyed this black comedy. I thought the set was excellent, and the lighting lent itself quite well to the tone and setting of the show. The actors were excellent, as was the script. I just had an all-around great time. We had great seats, though I'm not really sure there is a bad seat in the house.

It had been an extremely long time since I last went to see a play. It's always good for me to step foot inside a theatre and remind myself of what brings me joy in life, and who I really am. Theatre is in my blood, and it had always motivated me and brought me great joy. This was just a reminder of what my passion is, and what I should start focusing on again.
