Noteworthy

Here are two things coming up that I find to be noteworthy:

In the spirit of the season, Anthropologie stores are accepting new and gently used women’s and children’s sweaters to benefit local shelters. Donate anytime between now and November 30th, and you’ll receive a $10 cozy card, good toward any same-day sweater or outerwear purchase.

Of course, there are sale exclusions and such, but just speak to the manager or a sales associate at your local Anthro location, and I'm sure they can give you the scoop.

**Small Business Saturday is Saturday, November 24th!!**
Please get out there and support your local small businesses when doing some of that holiday shopping... and of course all year long! Small businesses are super important, and I can promise you that they will greatly appreciate your business! You can even go to places online like Etsy to see who is selling things in your area that you can support and promote.

Sandy Relief is good JuJu

Hi All! As you may or may not know, I am a product of the East Coast. Born and raised in New Hampshire, went to college in Boston, and frequented New York City to see shows, visit friends, and soak it all in. Much of my family is still there, and a wealth of my friends as well.

One of my friends from back home, who is an amazing New York- based artist, designed this shirt and 80% of the proceeds go to Sandy relief in Brooklyn and Queens! She is reaching out to help her neighbors, and you can help her do that! AND... you get a shirt as your reward for helping others! It's win-win... with an additional 3rd win... for the win! Please check it out, and if you're in the position to make a purchase, do so. If you can't, even just help spreading the word would be a huge help, and she will thank you, I will thank you, and New York will surely thank you as well.
