Please Allow Me to Pick Your Brain

In an attempt to better my Etsy shop, and bring people what they really want, I'd like to pick your brains if you don't mind.

I'm curious to know what people's favorite colors are.

Aslo, with patterns heavily trending right now, which are your favorites? Chevron? Florals? Animal prints? Faux bois? Do tell!

Thank you in advance for any light you can shed on the subject(s)!

Brave

Had a 'Brave' date with my Mom this morning. I loved the movie! Loved it! It may sound silly, but there were some stellar quotes to walk away with, and many of them were very relevant to where I'm at in my life right now. I'll admit it here in a public forum... I cried at the end. The final few lines of the movie really resonated with me.

I'm searching for quote samples online, but so far, have had no luck finding what I'm looking for.

Well... here is a song from the movie. Mumford & Sons and Birdy

Moonrise Kingdon

First let me say that I am sorry I have been such an absentee blogger as of late. I've been really focusing on my job search and trying to get people to my Etsy shop.

Okay... so... I have been dying to see 'Moonrise Kingdom!' So I treated myself to the early bird show today with some sweet babysitting money I snagged. Best $5.50 I've spent in ages. I kid you not. It was amazing. I had a sneaking suspicion that I would likely be mildly obsessed with it after seeing it, and i think I may have been correct. The cast was brilliant, the writing was fabulous, and the film was beautifully shot. Brilliant. Please go see it if you haven't already.

So sad

Andy Griffith has passed away at the age of 86. Now, sure, that's a great run, and I didn't know him personally, but this news made me really sad. Maybe I'm over-sharing, and I'm making myself out to sound like I'm nuts, but while I didn't have tears gushing down my face or anything, the news made me sad. I have such amazing, fond memories of watching the Andy Griffith Show with my Dad. My Dad *loved* that show, and of course, I always loved (and forever will) my Dad. Now, we rarely understood one another, argued somewhat frequently, and we were never as close as I would have liked, but the love was still there. The Andy Griffith Show was just one small way for us to bond; to spend time together... and laugh.

I do realize that I am completely digressing. Sorry. It's one of those weird things... when the world loses someone (even if you didn't know them, really), and it reminds you of someone else you've lost in your life.

R.I.P. Andy Griffith
