Yes, that's correct! It's Record Store Day! A day to go out and conquer the vinyl frontier.  Yeah, I said it. So get out there and explore your local independent record stores! There are special releases just for the day, and lots of stores are offering live performances, autograph sessions, and much more. Go… you know you want to!

Inspired & Encouraged

I was fortunate enough, yesterday, to have a chance to meet up with my college theatre professor. It had been about 4 years since I had seen him, and it was really nice to catch up. I talked with him about my upcoming opportunities in LA, and how nervous and excited I am. 

 He essentially told me that I am a good actor, and that I always put on a good performance, but that he has always felt I had even more to give. Basically, I show up on stage and put on a good performance that audiences enjoy, but that if I put even more effort and passion into it, that there is no limit to what I can do. I needed to hear that. I think I had kind of given up on myself and the idea of ever making a living doing what I love. I got so caught up in the need to pay bills, that I had lost sight of what feeds my soul ad makes me happy. It was really nice to talk with someone who has the confidence in me and my abilities that I seem to have let slip away. 

 What did this meeting with my former professor and mentor do for me? It reminded me that I still have potential to live up to. It was the swift kick I needed. I am feeling ready for change, artistic challenges, and adventure.
